Looking for a Boy Scout Troop
Troop 601 – Ten years of Serving Youth and our Community!
Troop 601 in Newark Delaware offers a wide range of scouting adventures. We camp 10 months a year, including summer camp, and vary our activities to include many different facets of scouting. Orienteering, Wilderness survival, Emergency preparedness, Winter sports, and Water activities are just a few types of weekend outings. Troop 601 believes that a new scout should have the resources and information to allow him to advance quickly, learn the skills required, and have fun doing it. We make that possible.
Troop 601 meets every Monday night from 6:30pm to 8:00pm except on the Mondays following a camp out. Troop meetings include skill activities, special guests, patrol time, merit badges, games, and camp out preparation time. Troop 601 is a medium size troop with over 30 scouts and just as many adult leaders to help our scouts facilitate their own meetings. Yes, our troop is scout led and adult guided.
